Spotted Online – 1983 Fisher-Price Adventure People Alpha Star Advertisement
We looked at an old Fisher-Price Adventure People ad a few days ago and I was a little sad that the ad was cropped and we didn’t know the source. Well, when I ran across this Alpha Star ad on Flickr I also found a better version of the Alpha Probe ad. AND the photo on Flickr even has the source: Woman’s Day, November 1976. I hadn’t realized that the Alpha Probe was that old. You see, I’ve always operated under the understanding that the Alpha Probe was an early eighties release. I need to learn more about the Adventure People series!

I’m very suspicious of that date. I’m pretty certain they didn’t come out with the Alpha line until a couple years later. This site seems to back that up, too: http://www.thisoldtoy.com/fisher-price/dept-7-playsets/d-Adventure/Group-12.000-Vehicles/12.353-spaceship.html
@microbry – Thanks! That date felt early BUT my knowledge of the line is so limited I wasn’t qualified to argue. There needs to be a book!!!
