Spotted Online – 1984 Kellogg’s Starbot Toy Offer
After the Boo Berry Stomper 4×4 offer we looked at a few days ago (posted here) I kept looking around Jason B’s Cereal Boxes album at Flickr. So many incredible cereal boxes and promotions! Box after box after box of fantastic fun, but as soon as 1984 Fruit Loops box appeared on my screen the world stopped and I stared hard. Look at those Starbot cheap transforming robot toys!

It’s beginning to feel like you’re just cataloging my childhood at this point! I did indeed collect all four of these weirdos! The Enterprise-looking one was my favorite. I think I may have loved the cheap and strange robot toys of the 80’s more than the “legit” ones!
@rosewater – Just making sure you have lots of great memories when you visit the site! That Enterprise-like one is a toy I would love to find. No luck yet.
I had the space shuttle like robot as a kid but I got it from a yard sale so I never knew where it came from. I have the feeling that the colors in the ad in no way reflect the color of the actual toys as my shuttle was a very dull blue color and if there were stickers included they hadn’t been used on my example. it also had viable sprew marks which leads me to think that they came unassembled model kit style
Holy cow, is that a “Starship Enterprise” transformer??
@Kevin – I know, it looks amazing. I want one!
