Spotted Online – 1994 Medieval Spawn Pics at Cool Toy Review
McFarlane started his series of Spawn toys off with a bang in 1994, shaking up the toy industry and pushing the big companies to change their approach to action figure design. One of those early action figures in the line was the awesome Medieval Spawn (find at Amazon.com*) and when we take a few moments to look at the toy again it’s possible to spot the excitement the line created when this figure was new.
Lucky for us, Cool Toy Reviews has pics of that original Medieval Spawn action figure, making it easy enough to get a look at a toy that’s over two decades old. I know McFarlane doesn’t do much with Spawn in toys these days, but the company wouldn’t be where it is now if not for amazing pieces like this one.
So, who out there still has some of those old Spawn action figures?

I got quite some over the past year. I couldn’t resist on the glorious 12″ Angela and would love to have this fella’s 12″ version as well. back in 1994/95 those truly blew my mind seeing them on the back of the comics – arround 1997 i thought the ads and figs were pretty much cooler than the comics themselves lol. Collecting these today is fun as prices here and there are low, even with breakage and twisties all involved makes for a great nostalgia trip.
