Spotted Online – A Flash Gordon Coloring Book Page Becomes a Cardboard Playset

Visit Mego Museum!
Now here’s an awesome idea. One of the pages from the Flash Gordon coloring book shown at Plaid Stallions was used to make a large, colorful cardboard playset for use with old Flash Gordon action figures. You can see the playset in two Mego Museum forum posts — first post, second post — and the resulting display is quite nice.

What a wonderful idea! Looking through all of the cardboard playset photos and designs online really has me wishing I had the time to sit down and design a completely new cardboard playset to post in PDF. I guess that’s one more project I can add to the list of things I would do if I ever had all of the time in the world.
