Spotted Online – An Interview with Tesselate
Toy artist Tesselate (website, Twitter) was the creator of one of the very first resin toys that I ever purchased. Way back in 2007, shortly after encountering I Am Plastic* and Dot Dot Dash*, I placed an order with Tesselate and I even went so far as to color/paint the blank resin toy that arrived.
But that’s a talk for another day.
Tesselate has been interviewed at tru: teknology files and the interview is packed with photos and a lot of great info that anyone interested in the designer toy scene should check out. Overall it’s a fun read, but one line jumped out at me as the best quote in the entire piece:
I also have to thank the 1980′s for being so amazing and always being a massive source of inspiration.
