Spotted Online – Another Reason to Hate DC Universe Infinite Heroes

NOOOOOOO! The Fwoosh has a look at Infinite Heroes Doom Patrol figures and I know that I’m going to be tempted by at least a few of these. What’s going to really suck is that I know these figures will have questionable articulation. And since this is a four-pack from Matty Collector it’s buy them all or get none of them.

Go now to The Fwoosh for more pics and info.

The photos make it clear that the articulation is not up to snuff for modern 3.75-inch action figures. Still, Negative Man and Robotman are already tempting me and this pack isn’t even online yet.

I am sad. Damn you, Infinite Heroes. I wish you were a better series of toys.

  1. Well… evidently someone at Matty Collector was sniffing the paint fumes that day, because those are NOT Infinate Heroes figures. Those are JLU/Animated style figures. Take a look at the JLU figures, and you’ll see they match up with those in sculpt and articulation. Whoever listed those as “Infinate Heroes” figures was just wrong.

  2. Okay, excellent point. I often lump these two lines together and that’s not fair. They each have their own different sets of problems. I really wish Mattel would figure out how to create GOOD 3.75-inch figures because I would love some excellent DC figures to pit against my Marvel Universe figures.

  3. Actually, they did fix the Infinite Heroes line! If you buy Green Lantern on DVD or Blu-Ray at Best Buy, you get a GL with the new articulation. MattyCollector is selling a Crisis 4-pack also with the new articulation. The pegged releases will have have this in the future.

  4. @DiRT – Thanks for the tip! I may have to grab that DVD. And very good news about the improvement to the line. I hope they reissue some existing figures with the new articulation.

  5. Yeah JLU is it’s own beast and actually works better with limited articulation. Of course the new articulation on DCIH shows exactly why I wouldn’t want Mattel making super articulated JLU anyway. The new articulation on DCIH looks like butt.
