Spotted Online – Awesome New 3.75-Inch Hellboy Figures
(Well, figure at least. One of the two isn’t all that new and is only kinda awesome.) It has been several months since I reviewed Mezco’s 3.75-inch Hellboy action figure (review here), but that doesn’t stop me from being excited about this new 3.75-inch scale Golden Army Soldier and Hellboy set. I mean, just look at the size of that guy!
The new Hellboy I’m kinda “eh” on, because I already have two 3.75-inch scale Hellboy action figures, but that Golden Army Soldier looks awesome.
The text from the Mezco site reads:
“Mezco’s award-winning 3.75inch Hellboy line continues with the addition of the highly anticipated Golden Army Soldier! The Golden Army Soldier stands approximately 7 inches tall (in scale next to the other figures in the 3.75inch series) and features eight points of articulation. He comes packaged with a 3.75inch Hellboy, who comes complete with a base, and his legendary sidearm, the Samaritan. Ships in Late July 2009. NOTE: This is not a pre-order. You will be charged as soon as you confirm your order. “
So Hellboy is effectively the exact same action figure and the soldier is the new piece. $30 for the pair, which is a little high (but it’s a better deal than Mattel’s Masters of the Universe Classics line, so I’ve no reason to complain about the price on this set).
Yeah, that does seem a bit high for two 3.75″ scale figures, even if one of them is 7″ tall. I do like that Golden Army Soldier, though… I’d probably stick it among my SF/ML figures and call it Huitzil. 🙂
Just buy a Hellboy figure and have him fight the Gobon instead… works for me!
Well, I have to admit that I placed an order. The 3.75-inch scale is my favorite size for action figures and the Soldier looks too cool for me to ignore it.
