Spotted Online – Brushforhire’s Blind Boxed BuffMonster Customs

One of the coolest trends in the designer toy scene has to be the whole “artist takes an existing platform toy and creates his own custom run” angle we’ve seen a few times now. Bryan Collin’s Beast Buddies set of blind boxed custom Dunny toys (review here) is an excellent example of this sort of activity, as are the various fan-produced Glyos customs.

Brushforhire (blog, Twitter) has created a run of 20 custom toys using a Buff Monster platform (website, Twitter) and the toys are now available at Brushforhire’s blog.

“A limited run of blind box custom painted 1.5” buff monster toys. They will be $40 each shipped in the U.S. Also one box will contain a certificate for a free 3” Custom Scurve Buff. Official drop date is November 23rd, 2009 at 12 pm eastern time. There are only 20 available to the public. These are all painted by myself, Brushforhire.”
