Spotted Online – Drilone’s Custom Nosferatu
You know where I made a mistake? Way back in 1998 when I grabbed Unkle’s Psyence Fiction* album, saw the info on buying a Pointman toy, and then proceeded to not buy the toy. Back in 2007 when I finally noticed the designer toy scene one of the first pieces I encountered was the Nosferatu toy. Damn, imagine my shock when I realized that the band I enjoyed back in the late nineties (and still enjoy today) had cool toys out there for everyone to love.
I never have been able to piece together how it all comes together — if someone out there has a link to the history of these toys and the band I’d love to see the details — but that doesn’t stop me from liking the design. And now we get to see a custom Nosferatu by DrilOne (website, Twitter) over at his Flickr page. Nice!
Yeah, this just makes me want one of these toys more than ever. No toy for me now, though, because I’ve got too much work to do. What I can enjoy is some Unkle. Let’s crank “Bloodstain” from the 1998 album, Psyence Fiction. Yeah, this album is still a lot of fun.
