Spotted Online – Electric Tiki’s Tron Statue
This post at Action Figure Insider has the details — kinda — for Electric Tiki’s upcoming releases, and out of everything that’s shown this Tron Classic Heroes statue looks like the piece I would most love to own. Is that a glow-in-the-dark statue or just blacklight reactive?
Man, I never thought we’d see so many new Tron collectibles hitting shelves. A few years ago, before the first Tron Legacy footage was posted online, I figured Tron was one of those things that was gonna slowly fade away to nothing. Now it looks like Tron Legacy — if it’s actually a great film — may make the setting more popular than it ever was when the movie was first released in the eighties.
AF Insider is good for some news coverage. They don’t update enough. Their forums, especially the Mattel one, are a toilet though. Mostly DC and JLU fan boys. Hardly any other line is discussed. Might as well rename it the DC Mattel forum. And also probably because Mattel’s collector based lines are pretty controversial topics like gay marriage, the economy, or Obama. I guess you can say that about the official Mattycollector forum too. AHAHHA
The other problem with AFI is the tightwards that run the place also started Raving Toy Maniac. I like RTM more than AFI because at least the people are funnier even without registration or loggin comments. But sometimes it can get out of hand. It is still are more funny and I suppose fun forum than slanted forums like AFI and CriticalMess who are almost 100% solely made of DC Comics fanboys.

There is some good stuff over at AFI, but RTM’s site just confuses me most of the time. I know their site has updates, but for reasons I can’t explain the front page always looks the same to me. Maybe the photos are too small.
