Spotted Online – Erick Scarecrow’s “Hatch” Old Skool Kaiju

Erick Scarecrow (blog, Twitter) has given us a companion to his Muraida vinyl toy (review here). I’ve already seen comments that this isn’t kaiju (at the October Toys forum) but I don’t care. If it looks fun then that’s good enough for me.

This resin monster is owned by a collector, but maybe we’ll get lucky and this design will find its way to vinyl. I hope so, because I’d love to get one of these for my own collection . . . and I’m betting a version in resin would be hideously expensive. That thing is huge!

I know that saying “that’s kaiju enough for me” won’t win me any points with some people out there, but that looks like a big-ass fun monster to me. And that’s all I’m looking for.
