Spotted Online – FansProject Transformers Explorer

I’m not sure when it happened, but at some point the team at FansProject went from creating Transformers upgrade packs (like the Superion set mentioned here) to manufacturing complete transforming robot toys (like the Warbot Defender I mentioned last week).

Well, they’ve now posted photos of Explorer, a space shuttle and launch vehicle that immediately makes me think of the Combaticons Onslaught and Blast Off.

And with good reason, as this photo shows. It appears that Explorer is both a transforming robot toy and an accessory kit to upgrade an official Transformers toy. Cool idea.

So are these guys creating a complete replacement set of Combaticons and related upgrade kits? That’s just insane. But a good insane, since the photos they’ve shown so far look great. Continue reading to see a slideshow of images of this upcoming transforming robot toy.
