Spotted Online – Fun Artwork by d3adm3at

Artist d3adm3at has a fun artwork set at Flickr. There are some cool pieces in the set, but my favorite piece has to be the painting below. Every time I look at work with thick, bold lines and solid blocks of color I realize that while I’m technically capable of creating art like this it’s just not in my nature. Every time I sit down and work on art I create rough, organic works that rarely have heavy linework. I’m not sure what it is, but it’s something hardwired in my brain.

I found this while looking at the Skull Nation group at Flickr. I’ll tell you, those Flickr groups are a great way to blow a ton of time. I could spend hours looking through any one of the groups I belong to over there . . . oops, better get to work and stop wasting time looking at photos and artwork.
