Spotted Online – G.I. Joe Cannon Dome Playset and Carrying Case

During a recent search online (as you have probably already guessed, I’ve been running a lot of searches for “playset” and “carrying case” lately) I ran across this page of playset designs. All designed by Greg Autore (coroflot.com profile) it was the artwork for a G.I. Joe series carrying case that expands into a playset that really caught my eye.

This is a design I can’t remember ever seeing before, and a search at yojoe.com didn’t reveal anything, so I am assuming that this concept was never executed. But it looks to me like a fun idea and something that very likely would have been popular with kids; does anyone know if this was ever released and it’s simply a toy I’m not familiar with?
