Spotted Online – G.I. Joe Catalog at Dork Dimension

Go now to this page at Dork Dimension and enjoy image after image of the third series of 1980s G.I. Joe action figures and vehicles. This catalog brings back a flood of memories for me, because almost every single item shown is something I either played with in toy form or — at the very least — enjoyed in the classic G.I. Joe comic series*.

You may find this sad, but I think the toys I remember most fondly from all of them shown in this catalog have to be the PAC/RATs. I know they don’t look all that exciting, but when I was a kid these remote-operated weapons platforms saw a lot of service when I was playing. These were pretty inexpensive and it wasn’t tough to save enough to buy one and, as I tend to do, once I had one of them I had to grab the others.
