Spotted Online – Hasbro’s Hero Mashers at Forbes
Yesterday I mentioned how an old Kenner Manga Star Wars sketch made me think of the upcoming Hero Mashers* line of Star Wars action figures.
Well, being one who just has to keep digging into things I stumbled across this Forbes article from January which is a real treat for anyone who loves behind the scenes stuff. Follow along as Forbes interviews Adam Biehl of Hasbro and talks about the Hero Mashers* line and how the line came into existence.
The culmination of the research…kids want power over their play experiences, they want to customize their play.

I realize these aren’t targeted at me, but they would have really annoyed me as a kid. They look cool, but if they really wanted to be customizable, then the full arms would come off and the torso would split. They seem underdeveloped as toys.
