Spotted Online – Interview with Solomon Kane Writer, Bruce Jones
There’s an interview at MTV Geek that you’ll want to read if you’re a fan of the Solomon Kane comic books. Author Bruce Jones talks about his work on the project and specifically mentions why they’ve kept “Skulls in the Stars” short:
The four issues I’ve written adapt only Skulls in the Stars and Red Shadows. We felt Skulls—a short piece—was best told in a single 22 pg issue, whereas Shadows, which is a sort of ongoing chase across two continents, begged for more space.
Once the collection comes out I’ll pick this up; it’s going to make an excellent addition to the two volumes I already own (see my Castle of the Devil and Death’s Black Riders “reading” posts), but I am still a bit nervous that we’ve lost Scott Allie as writer on the series. But I’m willing to give it a shot, and I’m holding out hope that at the very least the “Skulls in the Stars” adaptation is phenomenal.
