Spotted Online – Lamour Supreme’s MOTUKO Vinyl Toy First Release
First revealed last year (first mentioned here), Lamour Supreme’s (Flickr, Twitter) MOTUKO vinyl toy was recently released at Super Festival 59 in Japan. The first release of the toy was in pink and green plastic — see this post at toybot studios — but I can’t see how this won’t eventually be released in a painted form. And even if this was the only color choice I think I would want one; those colors are sick in a great way.
My only real concern is that the toy will continue to be run in waves of a dozen or so (I’m guessing here) and will forever be expensive and tough to find. I wish Lamour Supreme would run a Kickstarter project as a pre-order system and then manufacture a special colorway or two to order. I’m betting that he would sell hundreds of toys if the price was brought down below $50/toy and people had a chance to pre-order a painted version.
