Spotted Online – Late Seventies Star Wars Ads by Palitoy
I’ve mentioned Palitoy Star Wars ads before, but while following a link to the official Star Wars website I ran across this post of Palitoy ads that must be shared. Is there anything as fun on a Friday morning as looking through a batch of these old ads where the toys are illustrated?
Hasbro, I have a request: Please create new advertisements along the lines of the late seventies toy ads and start publishing those ads in Marvel’s Star Wars comic. I’m willing to bet that such ads would spark a sense of nostalgia for a lot of older fans and would lead to some sales. Just imagine how fun it would be to see a retro-styled ad for the Rebels Troop Transport* in new Star Wars comics.
