Spotted Online – Manga X-Men
A new post at ToysREvil turned me on to this post at Newsarama where we get to see concept art and sketches for the Del Rey Manga X-Men series.
The image above, from the Newsarama post, shows the manga-style Kitty Pride. Overall, the character design looks great — and appropriate for the line — but I just can’t get all that excited about this series.
There’s a preview of the Wolverine book online now. It looks okay, but manga isn’t really my thing (I usually like the robot and monster designs, but the stories rarely excite me).
Oh god, you mean this thing hasn’t died yet? I saw the concept art from before, with… who was it? Shoujo comic bishounen Magneto and Wolverine? Thought the project was dropped after not hearing about it for so long. Gah, the horror… while I admit, the clean lines on a shoujo style is a novelty, but gah! Shoujo style with clean lines and American action and Amerimanga Tamara? And over usage of speed lines? I… sort of want this abomination now. If only because it IS an abomination.
