Spotted Online – Masterpiece Bumblebee Review at The Fwoosh

A few years ago I bought the Transformers Masterpiece Skywarp . . . and hated it. Floppy. Messy. Not at all fun to transform. Everything about the toy was a major disappointment and I was left wondering why so many fans have been shifting more and more of their attention to the Masterpiece series.

Well, after several months (more than a year) of hearing how so much better the Transformers Masterpiece toys are I took a chance and ordered one. The Generation Two Sideswipe (Amazon.com search*)) surprised the hell out of me. This toy’s nothing like that older Skywarp, and if the rest of the newer Masterpiece series is like Sideswipe then now I understand the love for the line.

And now the Masterpiece Bumblebee is shipping, leaving me trying to figure out if the toy’s cool enough to take a shot at it. Fortunately, this review at CollectionDX is loaded with pics and gives us all a closer look at the toy. I’m not so sure about the arms in vehicle mode, but overall Bumblebee looks great and I’m going to scan more reviews and keep a close eye on this one.
