Spotted Online – Masters of the Universe Classics Goat Man Review at The Fwoosh
The one thing that this Goat Man review at The Fwoosh really did was remind me that Mattel has some strange business practices. Despite having multiple 2014 subscriptions for various Masters of the Universe Classics action figures (Amazon.com search*) I have no idea how difficult Goat Man will be to grab.
As the review tells us:
“Goat Man is this year’s “traveling convention†figure, so he will be at all of the shows that Mattel attends this year, with the exception of SDCC, and he is also going up for sale in very limited quantities this spring on Matty Collector, and then again at the end of the year.”
This means I have to jump through hoops if I want a Goat Man. And unlike last year’s traveling figure, Strobo*, Goat Man looks like he’s a lot of fun. Just see the review and I think you’ll understand why I want to get my hands on this evil warrior.
I plan to pick one up at Power-Con.
Hopefully Goat Man will be as easy to pick up as Strobo was. I definitely would like to get my hands on him. The idea of these “con exclusives” still kind of bugs me. I get that they want to have product to sell at Cons, but for subbers its a slap in the face. I was watching Pixel Dan’s Toy Fair video walkthrough with Toy Guru and he did say you could buy them direct from Mattel in bulk if you wanted to have ’em to sell at a Con. I’m not sure what “bulk” is though. Hopefully going to Power Con so I will pick one up there.
I can’t go to Power-Con. Fingers crossed I can get one from someone generous and not be forced over to eBay. Stupid scalpers.
Bulk? I would assume dozens equals bulk. But I have no idea.
