Spotted Online – Masters of the Universe Classics Tytus Review by Poe Ghostal

So yesterday I mentioned this Optikk review at Dork Dimension and how the review wasn’t a glowing endorsement. Well, I’m still excited that Optikk is headed my way.

What I didn’t go for in this month’s new releases at Matty Collector, and wasn’t all that excited about, was the giant Tytus. The figure looked too basic and dull to me — a towering Conan-like barbarian — and not quite big enough to feel like a giant when compared to the size of the Masters of the Universe Classics action figures. Despite my disinterest in the figure, though, it was still nice to read this Tytus review by Poe Ghostal.

I was a bit surprised to learn that the toy’s rotocast plastic and comes with less articulation than the other toys in the series. I just assumed it would use the same construction and articulation as the other figures in the series; I guess that would have been too expensive so Mattel went another direction. And since these parts can be as excessively reused as the basic figures’ parts, I shouldn’t be surprised that Mattel went as inexpensive on the figure as they could.

It’s a fun review, but in the end the review makes me happy that I elected to skip Tytus. The figure’s look doesn’t interest me and the change in manufacturing and articulation means that I would have been unhappy even if I had jumped in and scored one of these.
