Spotted Online – Muckman Love at Dork Dimension

So we all know that Nate over at Dork Dimension posts fun, bizarre stuff unlike what we see on other sites, but what you may not realize is just how many retro Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure reviews he has been posting. I’m just a tad too old to have gotten heavily into TMNT when they were huge, but the more I see of the old toy line the more I enjoy it.

Muckman here perfectly demonstrates just how weird this toy line was (is?). A hunchbacked monster wearing a pink suit and a trashcan backpack, Muckman is either perfect as he is or he’s just dying to be hacked into bits and used as the base for a bootleg action figure. Either way, there’s no denying the toy looks fun. Nate’s review should be avoided if you don’t want to find yourself looking for this toy on eBay.

Nate is never satisfied with just showing us a toy, though, and he often draws some fun stuff. Like this Muckman illustration he posted last week. Man, I need to beg Nate to illustrate one of my own resin toys, because he has a clean, colorful style that I really appreciate.

Great work, Nate! Now show us more drawings of toys.

  1. That is exactly why I recruited him to do my header card art, my sons’ business cards, and a new homepage for my site…His work is so killer it isn’t even funny.

Have you seen the new C2 E2 Larvoid exclusive card he designed for me? Another KILLER design.
