Spotted Online – Producing Thor: Tales of Asgard

A new post at the Marvel site, Producing Thor: Tales of Asgard, gives us a bit of a behind the scenes peek at the new Thor: Tales of Asgard* animated feature that’s set for release tomorrow. While I still haven’t seen the film that is now in theaters I do plan to try and watch this over the weekend . . . after all, Marvel has been doing an okay job with their direct-to-DVD animated features and I wanna see how well this one turned out.

We knew that we wanted to do a Thor story for our seventh direct-to-video movie. Fun fact, this movie was actually the seventh one that we produced, not the eighth. Believe it or not, we completed work on it about six months before we completed “Planet Hulk.” The decision was later made that its release would work best alongside the theatrical release of the live action Thor movie.
