Spotted Online – R2-KT Appears in The Force Awakens
mygeeknews.com has posted confirmation that R2-KT will appear in the new Star Wars film. R2-KT is a fan-crafted astromech droid that was built for a sick child who never did get the chance to meet the little droid; she did, however, meet a temporary model and the photo of Katie hugging her surrogate droid is heartbreaking and amazing all at once.
Disney and Lucasfilm are really embracing the Star Wars community and it’s the little things like this that show there’s more than just profits behind their work.
