Spotted Online – Snow Crash the Movie?

If you’ve never read Neal Stephenson’s Snow Crash* then you have been missing out on a strange, fun, and wild cyberpunk novel where the protagonist — named Hiro Protagonist of all things — starts by crashing his pizza delivery sports car and winds up fighting . . . well, telling would spoil the fun.

Anyway, according to posts at deadline.com and starburstmagazine.com the story is set to become a movie. Again. You see, way back when the novel was released there were plans for a film. That film never happened.

If this happens I hope they do a good job. It’s a fun story and deserves to be treated better than a lot of the films coming out of Hollywood. And please, no 3-D.
