Spotted Online – Star Wars Black SDCC Exclusive Jabba Review at The Fwoosh

I’ve now got the basic Star Wars Black Jabba* that’s been released to stores, but those of you looking for pics and info on the SDCC exclusive version of the toy will want to see the review at The Fwoosh.

I find it insanely frustrating and strange that Hasbro would feel such pieces as Salacious Crumb and display accessories are not vital to a retail version of Jabba; staring at the toy in its retail box all I can keep thinking is how naked the figure looks without accessories.

Regardless of my own thoughts, you really should check out the Jabba review at The Fwoosh for the pics and scoop on this exclusive variant. I’ll likely not open mine for several more weeks, so you cannot count on me to be any use at all. Sorry!

Jabba also has an action feature, and I am not a big fan of that, and for a couple of reasons. First, his mouth moves when you push down on the arms, so it is certainly not very exciting. I mean, it is kind of fun, but if this was even a tribute to the old Kenner figure, it should really be his tail that moves, not his mouth. Second, because his mouth does move, a soft material needed to be used for the head, so Jabba’s dome is covered in a very rubbery plastic.

  1. I love watching this line from the sidelines — but as much as I thought I would get into collecting a 6″ Star Wars line I realized that if I wasn’t a big enough fan to collect 3.75″ Star Wars figures, I’m not a big enough fan to collect 6″ Star Wars figures — of course that does not stop me from cherry picking. However I do not think I will be getting Mr. Hutt.
