Spotted Online – Star Wars Dioramas at Hasbro.com
Hit this page at the Hasbro website for a look at the five finalists in Hasbro’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars diorama contest. I didn’t even know this contest was going on, which shows that I need to pay more attention to the Hasbro website. Is there a Hasbro Twitter account? I haven’t bothered searching for one; I guess that’s my next step after posting this.
“While all of these dioramas are fantastic, we know that you have a favorite. Vote now for the diorama you like best, and help us crown the 2009 Fan Favorite winner!”

The dioramas do look great, but there are a couple of problems with most of the finalists. For one, the photos aren’t great. I know taking photos of toys isn’t easy, but the Hoth entry, especially, has some terrible photos . . . which leads us right into problem #2: Clone Wars Contest makes me think these should be related to the Clone Wars animated series (which is now on DVD and available from Amazon.com*). None of the entries are Clone Wars-specific. That’s not a huge deal, but I do wish there were more Clone Wars entries. (And I really with the Hoth photos were clearer, because that diorama looks spectacular.)

Jump on over to the page now to vote. Voting ends “on or about November 16,” so you’ve got a little over a week to make a decision and place your vote.
