Spotted Online – Star Wars Hero Mashers Greedo Review at Action Figure Barbecue

Hasbro’s Hero Mashers series (find at Amazon.com*) may be the most toyetic action figure line of the decade. These bulky, stylized designs are inexpensive (relative to Hasbro and Mattel’s comparably-sized 6-inch action figures), and the parts-swapping feature makes them far more playable than straightforward action figures.

I’ve not bought many of these toys — I’ve been successfully resisting, despite how many times I’ve almost grabbed the Stormtrooper — but that resistance is cracking because of online reviews. For example, the Greedo review at Action Figure Barbecue really drives home what a great toyline this is. I don’t know how much longer I can keep myself from buying at least one of these stylized Star Wars action figures.

  1. They’re really pretty fun figures but my favorite thing about them is how much my little one has gravitated to them! She is nuts about them and will gladly tell me how many she has and which characters she owns. (she has everyone released except the two vehicles, which I guess is one of the benefits of having a collector dad). Bossk and Boba Fett are huge hits.
