Spotted Online – Transformers Generations Metroplex Photo Gallery at TFW2005

Hasbro’s upcoming Transformers Metroplex (pre-order at Amazon.com*) is looking awesome, and now we can see a lot of pics of the giant Transformers toy in this post at TFW2005. I can remember buying Metroplex back in 1986 — the toy died due to hard wear and play, his legs separating from his body — and seeing these shots of the new toy sure brings back memories of that original toy.

And, not surprisingly, even though the toy isn’t yet in stores someone has already announced a add-on for this new Metroplex toy: G6F-002X Generations Metroplex add-ons. It looks like an interesting idea — using LEGO bricks to build the basic shapes for new guns which will then be molded and cast in resin — and I suspect that it’s only a matter of time before we see more unofficial add-ons for this toy.
