Spotted Online – Transformers Generations Roadbuster Review at The Fwoosh

How is this even happening?!?! First Hasbro brought us Whirl* in the Transformers Generations series, and now the store shelves are starting to witness the arrival of the other 1985 Deluxe Autobot, Roadbuster*. It’s almost as if I’m thirteen again!

I’ve not yet found a Roadbuster of my own, but fortunately that doesn’t stop me from enjoying the fact that there’s a review at The Fwoosh. Overall it’s looking pretty good, certainly cool enough that I’ll be grabbing one as soon as I spot him.

I may have never had these two Deluxe Autobots when I was a kid — I know, poor little Phil — but I remember constantly staring at the catalog and being really interested in the two. They just looked far too awesome and with them never appearing in the cartoon I had no idea what was happening. I do now, though, but I still remember being a kid and loving the mystery of these two unknown Autobots.

  1. Toy catalogs were such a huge part of our childhood and a great marketing tool. Those images are still burned into my brain from all the times I spent looking at them. They don’t really do catalogs anymore, and in some cases, cross sell images on the back of the package. I wonder how kids find out about upcoming releases these days. Online? Nothing will ever beat staring at those catalogs (or Christmas wishbooks!)
