Spotted Online – Transformers Masterpiece Guide at It’s All True
It is only recently that the Transformers Masterpiece series (Amazon.com search*) has started to catch my eye. My very first experience with Masterpiece — a Skywarp toy about five or six years ago — was so negative that I kept ignoring the very existence of Transformers Masterpiece toys. That Skywarp really is a chunk of junk; “How,” I kept asking, “Could anyone love these toys?”
And then I found out that the Skywarp I had was a poor representation of what the series had become. Okay, now that I’ve had a closer look at newer Transformers Masterpiece toys I’m beginning to understand that changes were made and the toys were improved. Greatly improved.
If you’ve always wanted a look at the Transformers Masterpiece line I’m recommending you spend time exploring the It’s All True visual guide. Fantastic . . . even if it does show me how many potentially-fun toys I missed. Oh well, that’s just how life goes.

The Masterpiece seeker mold has been greatly improved, although the torso still has the annoying habit of not locking together as tightly as it should in robot mode. Still, I greatly recommend the TRU-exclusive Masterpiece Sunstorm. Hasbro did a great job giving a unique spin to his color scheme and it’s a really sharp toy. You can get to experience the newer version of the mold at a price less expensive than importing a Japanese toy.
