Spotted Online – Tri-Gate Creations

I knew that there were sites online offering parts and accessories for people who customize 12-inch G.I. Joe action figures and it’s one of the reason I look at 12-inch scale forums and sites. A lot of the custom stuff looks fantastic, and the specialty parts market is neat to watch.

What I hadn’t realized, though, was that there is also a similar parts market for 3.75-inch scale G.I. Joe figures. One site — www.trigatecreations.com — offers some fantastic-looking parts, including original torsos and heads. A few examples of their work:

There are hundreds of different custom parts available at the site. The price per piece is a little high, but most of the work looks very nice. I’ve no idea how the pieces actually feel — or how well they work — but overall it looks like an impressive selection and it’s a great idea.
