Spotted Online – Unofficial Transformers Thunder Shadow Drone
The one thing I’ve never managed to successfully do with my Transformers Generation Thunderwing* is separate the drone from the main figure. I reviewed the toy back at the end of 2010 (review here) and loved it so much that I was excited when I finally got my hands on the Transformers Generations Sky Shadow*. It’s a great mold and I’m pretty happy with how the two toys look together.
But not once have I managed to pop the drone from Thunderwing, and I need to give it a shot with Sky Shadow. But I haven’t been too worried about it since the drone as a separate piece isn’t all that exciting.
Until now.
See this thread at TFW2005 for info on an upcoming unofficial Transformers accessory that’s specifically a drone for use with the Thunderwing mold. An awesome idea, and one that I hope turns out great because it sure would be fun to get tiny robot drones for the different Thunderwing mold toys.

Maybe it’s just me, but the last thing that mold needs is a bigger nosecone. It’s cool that they made a transforming drone that looks like the old inner robot, but it seems a bit shoehorned and just hangs there.
I’m really excited that someone is making this, but I too am curious to see how it will actually work. There’s not alot of spots to attach it on this mold, and the size of Thunderwing doesn’t leave much room to work with. Odds are if it’s not too much $$$ I’ll buy this.
