Spotted Online – Warhammer 40K Ork Prototype Action Figure
I can’t remember when I last visited Virtual Toy Chest, but I know for a fact that the last time I was there this unproduced Warhammer 40K Ork action figure wasn’t right there on the front page. The page currently shows pics of the prototype (as well as a few game covers), but there’s no information at all on when or where this thing came from. And digging through the web didn’t help me any, so all I can do for now is stare at these pics.
Based on the limited articulation of the toy I’m guessing this was designed in the early to mid-1990s. Anyone have any details on this prototype?

I’m guessing its less an action figure and more a 3-up of the old plastics. Though not 100% sure which body that is. The arms feel like the old plastics though.
Looks like the Gummy Bear orkling to me, lol.
I found some stories once, from GW store employees, that claimed that some stores had prototype Space Marine and Orc figures on display, back in maybe the late 90’s.
More than anything in my life, I need MOTU-sized Space Marines.
