Spotted Online – “Who Is Sarco Plank And Was He In ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’?”
Last month I reviewed the Sarco Plank action figure from Hasbro’s The Force Awakens line. My review, as you may remember, was overwhelmingly positive: Where some dislike the five points of articulation of the 3.75-inch scale The Force Awakens action figures, I love them. So very Kenneriffic in design!
Anyway, now that I’ve seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens (and am headed out to see it a second time later today) I can state: I didn’t see Sarco Plank anywhere in the movie. No scene featuring the character. No single line of dialogue. Not even a glimpse in the background. If Sarco Plank is in the film then I missed him entirely!
Fortunately, Slash Film is here to help us. Peter Sciretta, in his “Who Is Sarco Plank And Was He In ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’?” post, gives us an overview of the character and suggests that more was planned before edits stripped Plank down to:
“Sarco Plank can be seen very very briefly in the background of the Nima Outpost trading grounds . . . “
That’s kinda sad. Well, at least the article reminded me that the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Visual Dictionary* was released last week. Can you guess who ordered a book this morning?

I don’t recall seeing Constable Zuko 9?) anywhere in the film, either. Maybe a similar situation.
Still better than Zuvio who got a full Star Wars Black figure and was cut completely from the film.
