Spotted Online – Kuma Style Designs’ Top Ten Third Party Transformers Toys of 2012
TJ has posted his top ten list featuring his favorite ten unofficial Transformers toys of the year. And having wrapped up another batch of pages for Transforming Collections — and getting ready to snap a few dozen more photos for the book — I felt like it was a good time for me to sit down and review his list.
TJ’s list isn’t one I 100% agree with — where’s Grind Rod and Hench? — but there are some excellent choices in there and the entire list is a fun one to read over. He certainly had a lot of my favorites on the list, but the numbering was wrong. 🙂
In a year where so manybig third party benchmarks were done, at least in size, my vote would be for Hench.
That not-Brawn really encompasses what Third Party is all about, at least in my mind
I’m keeping my eye on Grindrod – since he’s part of an upcoming combiner, I might hold off until all the parts are available, and judge it based on the gestalt mode.
Thanks for posting that link to TJ’s site. I’ve been watching/reading his reviews and pics at TFW for the past year or two – for some reason I totally missed the fact he had a lively site going on too. I’ve added it to my iPad’s go-to list of Toy blogs. 🙂
