Square Enix’s Halo Toys at New York Toy Fair 2011

A couple of days ago I posted pics and comments on Square Enix’s Metal Gear Solid toys (mentioned here), but that’s far from all that they’re showing at New York Toy Fair this year. For example, they’re also showing Halo Reach* action figures that look cool enough on display that I’ve now ordered one for myself.

Yes, the McFarlane Halo action figures are significantly cheaper than these Square Enix action figures, but I don’t think anyone can deny that the level of detail on these toys is far superior to McFarlane’s. And getting a close look at them at the Square Enix booth sold me . . . I’ve seen the toys online before but getting up close and personal with them drastically changed my perceptions of the line.

Expect a review once the action figure arrives and I get time to play with it. I’m hoping that will be soonish, because after the severe headaches and frustrations at New York Toy Fair I could really use some downtime and a chance to relax.
