Star Wars Action Figures and Jabba the Hutt on Sale in 1983

By Christmas of 1983, Star Wars was already starting to fade into the background and get lost. That means this 1983 newspaper ad showing the Kenner Star Wars action figures and the Jabba the Hutt figure and playset. I love that the ad seems to imply that only Nien Numb and Ree-Yees are on sale; I’m sure that wasn’t at all what they meant, but the ad sure looks like those are the only Star Wars figures you can get in this sale.

Now all we need is for Hasbro to work with Lucasfilm to remaster all of the old Kenner Star Wars toy commercials and release them in higher quality. I’d actually pay for that.
