Star Wars and Crayola

At Target over the holiday weekend I ran across two boxes of Star Wars crayons that made me realize: Disney is gonna make a ridiculous amount of money off of Star Wars. I had already seen a few Star Wars Crayola (find at Amazon.com*) items in stores, but it was these simple crayon boxes that really drove home just how far Disney’s willing to take the Star Wars licensing machine.

Will we see as many merchandising tie-ins next year at this time for Rogue One, or will Disney saturate the market this year and damage the brand until 2018’s next episode? I guess we’ll know soon enough, but for now I’ll just sit here and admire these great crayon boxes.
