Star Wars Fan Club Offer from 1996
Also packed in the 1996 Shadows of the Empire Micro Machines set (mentioned here) was this small flyer promoting the Star Wars fan club. $12.95 for a year? Sign me up! Actually, Gina and I were signed up for the fan club at this time; I think we received Star Wars Insider for about three years during the late nineties. Why did we drop the club? I blame The Phantom Menace.
I suspect we weren’t alone in not renewing our club membership after the movie was released.
