Star Wars Gym-Dandy Jedi Tower and Kenner Action Figures on Sale in 1985

Hiding in this 1985 newspaper ad for Kiddytown is the Jedi Tower, a Star Wars-themed outdoor playset that is one of those massive pieces of Star Wars merchandise that many kids could only dream of back in the eighties. What surprises me most is that the playset is priced at only $80; I expected a much higher price tag!

Though I must admit that I’d have rather spend the $80 on eighty different Kenner Star Wars action figures. Just imagine how many Stormtroopers I would have had if I’d had $80 in my pocket and run across the figures on sale for only $0.99/each!
