Star Wars Newspaper Ads and “Toy Sales Add Up to Billions”

Over the last two years, I have published two 96-page hardcover books dedicated to the Star Wars newspaper ads of the seventies and eighties (Collect These Figures and Accessories* and A Galaxy of Action Figure Savings*). For the last few months, I have been assembling more advertisements — as well as toy photos, product photos, catalogs, and much more — into a third book, a book which continues to come together and may very well find its way to Kickstarter this month.

These two page spreads are just a taste of what I’ve managed to construct so far. As of this moment, over sixty of the 96 pages are finished, and another twenty are in various stages of progress. I’m waiting for more toys to arrive so that I can photograph them, so keep an eye open for more news as the book moves along to the finish line.
