“Star Wars Specials by MPC” in 1983
This 1983 newspaper advertisement for the MPC Star Wars: Return of the Jedi model kits makes a fantastic companion to the comic ad that we saw a few years ago. That comic ad may be all colorful and exciting, but this newspaper ad gives us solid info on how much the models sold for when they were new . . . and I do love seeing the actual sales prices since it always drives home just how much the economics of toys and games have changed over the last three decades.
