My two published books of Star Wars newspaper advertisements — Action Figure Carrying Cases* and Collect These Figures and Accessories* — already include ads for the Kenner Star Wars Micro Collection, so this 1982 K-Mart newspaper ad doesn’t offer us anything exactly new, but that won’t stop me from directing your attention to the festive design and joyous prices!

And look, Play-Doh also appears in the ad! If anything, Play-Doh (find at Amazon.com*) gets the better promotion. Larger type and images? Why did Star Wars not get images in this ad?
