Star Wars “Toys Galore!” in 1981
Kenner’s 1978 Millennium Falcon playset/vehicle was probably one of the company’s best decisions of the seventies and eighties. Just how many years did Kenner get use out of the design over the few decades that they kept returning to the tooling? And the toy was so popular that it was repackaged for each of the classic Star Wars films, as we see in this 1981 newspaper ad showing the Millennium Falcon in Empire packaging.
