Starriors at Kay Bee in 1984

Where else can you go to find the variety of random toy nonsense that is posted to battlegrip.com almost daily? I try to uncover as many bits and pieces of the toy past as I can in a few hours each week, and there are times when I get lucky and strike gold. For being such a short-lived line, I am surprised every time I find a newspaper advertisement for Tomy’s Starriors line. Did retailers think this series was going to be the next big thing or were so many shelves buried in unsold Starriors toys that the retailers threw dollar after dollar advertising the toys?
