Stonedar and Rokkon, Masters of the Universe Was Either Really Dumb or Genius

Transforming rocks weren’t just for the Rock Lords (Wikipedia). No, even Masters of the Universe had to get into the action with Stonedar and Rokkon. And these have to be two of the dumbest toys I’ve ever seen . . . that to this day I think about.

I know that Masters of the Universe is little more than Conan + Star Wars, but it amazes me how willing the guys at Mattel were to toss in random ideas that could possibly keep the brand alive in the eighties.

Out of curiosity I ran a quick eBay search for Rokkon. It looks like I could score one of these guys for under $10. I don’t know if that would be wise, though, because then I might find myself tracking down more transforming rock toys. And there was already a danger of that last year when Ben let me play with his Terra-Roc (review here), so it’s best if I just close the computer and look away.
