Street Art and Comics in Albuquerque
Gina and I wandered Albuquerque today (our four mile walk ended in a sudden rainstorm; that wasn’t fun) and enjoyed tasty food, yummy treats, and took in the sites of the city. Including some surprising art finds and a stop at comic/toy store, Astro-Zombies. (I grabbed myself the hardcover collection of Steve Niles and Bernie Wrightson’s The Ghoul* . . . a comic series which I first mentioned way back in November.)
The store had an impressive collection of older toys for sale, but the prices were so high that I eventually stopped even looking at their selection. (I did drool on that Hulkbuster statue a little. Can you believe how many times I’ve mentioned Hulkbuster Iron Man here at the site?)
I guess all that makes the store visit a bit of a bust, but the street art was excellent and worth the steps. I’ve posted shots to the 2010 vacation set at Flickr, so if you’re into art you may want to take a few moments to look through what we found.
